Senior Procurement Manager (m/f/d) Data Center Construction

Your Tasks

PORR is expanding its data center activities and is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategy for large data center construction projects. The role is responsible for procurement governance, package strategy, long-lead equipment, subcontract tendering, supplier risk, commercial alignment, and support to project delivery.

• Leadership of project procurement strategy and procurement governance
• Development of the package procurement plan with commercial, technical, planning, and project teams
• Management of procurement for major subcontract packages and long-lead equipment
• Leadership of supplier engagement, tender strategy, negotiation, and recommendation for award
• Coordination of procurement risk management for programme-critical packages
• Management of procurement reporting, approval routes, tender audit trail, and supplier performance monitoring
• Collaboration with Legal and Commercial teams on terms, risk allocation, and contract conditions
• Support of value engineering, alternative sourcing, and supplier diversification
• Escalation of procurement issues affecting cost, schedule, quality, commissioning, or handover
• Mentoring of Procurement Managers, Buyers, and Procurement Specialists

Your Profile

• Degree in procurement, supply chain, commercial management, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years' procurement experience in construction or engineering projects
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, industrial, energy, or MEP-heavy projects strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, long-lead equipment, supplier risk, and negotiation
• Experience with MEP packages such as switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, transformers, or BMS desirable
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract risk
• CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification desirable
• Fluency in English; German or Polish language skills advantageous
